Hailing from Hildesheim, Germany, Hannes Bo Schmidt began his American football journey after friends introduced him to the sport. He first discovered the NFL Academy through JLT Augsburg and X.

With ambitions of playing college football in the United States, Hannes joined the Academy to develop his game and pursue his goals both on and off the field. He is currently studying a BTEC in Sport while balancing his academic commitments with football.

Away from the field, Hannes enjoys all kinds of sport, spending time with friends and trying new food. A fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, his favourite player is Patrick Mahomes.
