Ilias was born in Côte d’Ivoire before growing up in the south of France and later Vienna, Austria. Introduced to American football by his older brother, Ilias joined the NFL Academy after impressing at the combine and during a one-week visit.

Before making the switch to football, Ilias enjoyed success in rugby, winning the Austrian U16 Rugby Championship. He joined the Academy to develop both as a player and as a person while pursuing his football ambitions.

Away from the field, Ilias enjoys cooking and has an interest in the military. A fan of the Detroit Lions, he looks up to Deebo Samuel for his versatility and playmaking ability.
