Mubarak Olalekan was born in Bryan, Texas and grew up in the North East of England, where he discovered American football after watching edits of college star Abdul Carter. Inspired by Carter’s style of play, Mubarak wanted to follow a similar path and began pursuing the sport himself.

He earned his opportunity to join the NFL Academy after attending the Loughborough Combine in January, where he impressed with his performances. Mubarak was drawn to the Academy by its culture and focus on player development, seeing it as the perfect environment to take his game to the next level.

Alongside football, Mubarak studies Sports Science and enjoys playing the cello. He looks up to Cashius Howell as he continues his journey as an outside linebacker.
