Nickson was born and raised in London, England. He began playing American football informally in a park before joining the London Blitz, where he played U14 flag football and progressed to U19 contact football where he was part of their national championship winning team in 2023. He further developed his skills with XL Performance, building the foundation for his future in the sport.

He was introduced to the NFL Academy through his club coach and caught the attention of Kris Durham at Deestroying’s 1v1 Tournament. Motivated by the chance to join the best team in Europe and pursue a path to Division 1 football, Nickson committed fully to the Academy.

Alongside his studies in Law, Business, and Economics, he enjoys music. He is also a big fan of the Baltimore Ravens.
