Nikau is a Māori offensive tackle from New Zealand, born in West Auckland and raised in the in Kaitaia and Kaeo. He grew up playing rugby league before being introduced to American football after being scouted by Coach Bryce.

He earned his opportunity with the NFL Academy after attending the first-ever Australian combine, where he showcased his potential.

Currently studying Social Science and Business, he enjoys fishing, hunting, diving, and gaming. A fan of the Detroit Lions, he continues to build his path in American football with determination and discipline.
