Diego was born and raised in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, where he discovered American football through friends. After competing in flag football tournaments, Diego earned his opportunity to join the NFL Academy after impressing at the programme’s tryouts in Monterrey.

Diego joined the Academy with the goal of earning a Division I college football scholarship. Alongside football, he has an interest in business as he continues to develop both on and off the field. A fan of the Minnesota Vikings, Diego looks up to Justin Jefferson as he works towards achieving his football ambitions.
