Alan was born in Nara, Japan, and raised in Chiba, where he developed a strong sporting background through rugby. He helped his team win a national championship during middle school before discovering American football after watching Super Bowl LIX and becoming excited by the sport.

Alan earned his opportunity to join the NFL Academy after an Academy coach visited Japan. He shared his rugby and football highlights before being invited to a trial, where he impressed and was officially recruited. The high level of competition during the trial convinced Alan that the Academy was the right environment for him to develop.

Alongside football, Alan is studying Sports Coaching and enjoys rugby and learning to play musical instruments. A fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Alan looks up to former defensive back Matt Ware as he continues his development.
